The Sony AD-7580A DVD Burner is compatible with most Notebooks and Laptops. The first thing you will want to ensure is whether your current driver's front bezel has a straight rectangular shape to it and whether the dimensto
ns for the front bezel is 12.7mm x 128mm. the second thing to look for is the small 50-pin connecter local on the back of the unit.
Please note that your current drive may use a special adapter connector (where the 50-pin connector is) and a special mounting frame. You will need to remove these from your current drive and mount these onto your new LiteOn DVD Burner.
This drive installs into your current CD or DVD drive module and will work as a replacement to a dead drive or an upgrade from a working drive. (This is the drive only, no software with).
